Mark Kendall
Mark first got into comedy while studying film at Northwestern University. He had a chance to work at Comedy Central through the Chris Rock Summer School Program for up and coming comedy writers of color. During his time at Comedy Central, he got to pitch jokes to the writing staffs of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report." Mark performs comedy in Atlanta at Dad's Garage Theatre Company and The Brink Improv among other spots around town. He also teaches improv and sketch writing. Mark has spent time studying at iO Chicago, Second City Chicago, and The Annoyance Theatre.

Jim Karwisch
Jim Karwisch began improvising in 1991 and has been teaching improv since 2001. He was trained long-form improvisation at the IO in Chicago. He loves character work, emotion based scenes, playing more than one character in a scene, object/space work and two person shows. Before getting into Improvisation, Jim toured the US as an actor and director with several reputable companies. At Valdosta State University he earned his bachelors degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Playwriting and Directing. He has coached the touring team Einstein meets Elvis and house team Babies mit Bearden at Relapse Theatre in Atlanta. Jim is one half of the original JaCKPie Duo and the was the Artistic Director for the JaCKPie Theatre Workshop from 2001 to 2010. JSTAR
JSTAR is the founder of The Basement Theatre in Atlanta, which will celebrate it's 11th anniversary on April 1, 2014. He has been studying and performing improv for 15 years. Jstar has studied with everyone who has written and improv book or open an improv theatre! In Chicago he attended iO (Improv Olympic) but also studied intensively at The Annoyance & The Second City. He has also studied intensively with Keith Johnstone (Calgary) , UCB (NYC) and Groundlings (LA). He has created several improv formats which are performed at The Basement and around the world including COACH, FAMILY DINNER, RORSCHACH, POT LUCKY, SCRAMBLED EGGS and MOTEL. Jstar is a regular guest instructor and performer at international improv festivals across the USA and Europe. He also produces his own improv festival each March, Spontaneous Combustion Atlanta. Jstar loves sharing his love of improv, and if you invite him to your country he will get your flag tattooed on his arm!

Mike Gorgone
Mike has trained at Second City and iO (formerly Improv Olympic) in Chicago and been a member of various groups in Chicago, Charleston and Atlanta over the last 15 years. He has taught the Level 3 - Harold classes for JackPie productions; he also helps coach the Improv Troupe at Blessed Trinity as well as doing workshops at South Forsyth High School. His main focus when teaching improv is to give the students the tools they need to perform one of the building blocks of all improv - the two person scene.

Katie Causey
Katie is an actor, comedian and educator living in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in English and Theatre. She has also completed the Apprenticeship Program at Aurora Theatre where she now hosts a monthly comedy night. Katie teaches acting and improvisation at theatres around Atlanta including the Alliance Theatre, Aurora Theatre and The Atlanta Shakespeare Company. She is a member of BANSHEE Improv and a roaming stand-up comedian. Katie is so excited to get to teach and play with Improvus Maximus!

Sean Bishop
Sean began improvising as a high school freshman with the Southside Improv'ers. Since leaving South Forsyth High School's doors, he founded Improvasaurus - a long form troupe that continues to perform in theatres across Atlanta - as well as joining the house troupe at The Basement.
